Ideal? no Brilliant? Yes.

Of course we can all find fault with one aspect or another of this camera. But now we have an all analog square format instant camera supported as a current product. Do I want the film to be Polaroid sized? Of course. Do you almost always have to use flash? Yes you do. But overall, a solid camera that takes great little instant photos at a reasonable price.
