Perfect replacement

Was an exact replacement for the Sunfire. The basement flooded and the two lower ballasts broke through. Bought and works like new!

Reliable performer for UV lamps in the habitat of our fish.

The original lasted 6 years until water got into the cabinet and shorted it out. I expect it will be just as good. The mounts have changed a bit, which was annoying but not insurmountable (sorry for the pun).

So far, so good. I bought these as a replacement ballast for use in a 1995 Sunquest Pro 16S solarium. I had to switch a bit to get them working, but it wasn't that hard. The original ballast operated 2 bulbs each, the SunHorse ballast will operate 4 bulbs each. I ended up replacing all 4 top ballasts with 2 SunHorse ballasts. They are much longer than the original ballast but the solarium mounting channel can be repositioned to accommodate them. In addition, changing the wiring is easy and the…
