Faulty part ruins car engine

Based on my observations, this Automotive part was not up to par. The FV395 Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve caused my engine to misfire and stall. The pros are that it was easy to install, but the cons are that it did not work properly and damaged my engine. I would not recommend this replacement part to anyone.

Pros
  • Effective in reducing harmful emissions from the engine
Cons
  • May require professional installation

PCV is a small diameter style. beware!

I purchased the recommended replacement boot and PCV valve for my 2002 Dodge 5.9. A larger PVC valve is used for the sleeve than it is not. Check available parts before ordering. This valve is about 1/2 inch wide where it meets the sleeve.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • ill advised

Get Mopar part - PCV valves and breathers

I installed this on a 1997 Grand Cherokee 5.2L. Quality seems bad. rough inside. I'm not sure if it will work as a PCV valve at all. I had to send it back and order a Mopar part. Replace the bushing at the same time. My eyelet got so hard I had to cut it off. It wouldn't give good pressure.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • unreliable
