We've had these mugs for about 10 years and eventually the insulation got damp, probably from all those years of washing in the dishwasher. The new ones are exactly what we hoped for. The design is good as my elderly husband is less likely to knock them over!

The mug is a little bulky but holds the temperature longer than any other thermal mug I've had and never tips over. The lid comes off fairly easily, making it easy to clean, but it fits snugly enough not to spill under normal conditions. I'll be ordering a few more in a bit as my dog managed to snatch it off the counter and chew on the handle :)

Top leaking immediately. It's also very large and can be heavy when full. But the biggest problem is the cover. I bought it for my 91 year old father. Unfortunately he didn't tell me it was leaking or I would have sent it back. (When I finally found out about this I ordered him a 16oz Patterson Travel Mug with Wide Base and Handle and now he's happy with hot coffee and NO DROPS!)

I've bought one of these before and been happy with it. It held over 1 cup of coffee and kept it warm enough. However, it turned out that it could leak at the bottom, so I bought a second one. I was surprised that the seal between the snap cap and the main body wasn't secure enough so coffee always leaked from the area between them when trying to take a sip. No matter how many positions I put on the top cover, it still leaks. I'll try to find a coffee mug with a screw top lid and hopefully this

I use travel coffee mugs at work because they stay hotter longer and are less likely to leak when I carry them around. I bought this mug after tipping my previous tall narrow mug too many times. Pros: Coffee stays hot longer than in a narrow cup. The wide opening is easy to clean. sloshes - leaks quickly when turned upside down. Leakage and leakage occurs when the cap is removed for refilling. The closed form pen cannot be hung on my pants pocket when I need both hands.

Excellent large capacity mug. The wide body is very stable and together with the lid prevents spills. I sometimes use this type of cup on a boat where there is a lot of movement. The wide body in combination with the non-slip rubber strip on the bottom make it very stable even in such conditions. The insulation is foam so drinks don't stay as hot or cold as with vacuum insulation. That's why I'm giving this 4 vs 5 stars. However, it keeps coffee or tea warm well. I have had several of these mugs and liked them for their size (they hold 20 ounces!), their wide base (I can carry in the car and place on the console without fear of tipping the mug) and the fact that they're dishwasher and microwave safe.
