Do not buy this from Wearable Technology

This is my second attempt to buy this. My 4 year watch band had a broken loop so I ordered a brand new band (yeah I know, not that smart), the first band arrived and the loop broke in less than 5 minutes. returned for full credit and new order. as others have reported. It also broke in less than 15 minutes. Just buy replacement hinges....not this if at all possible

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Requires socket

Do not do that! Garmin 225 Cheap Strap Version

Don't waste your money! I highly doubt this is an official Garmin strap replacement! Received my order on Friday, installed at 8am on Saturday and it broke before I even used my watch for a 9am run! Received a replacement today and it lasted 1 run before it broke too! My original strap lasted over 3 years. This is a cheap version of the Garmin 225 strap.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Clarity

The replacement bracelet broke in a few weeks

The original bracelet lasted 4 years for me until the part failed. The replacement strap (the little rubber loop that holds the strap's lug) broke after a few months (update: the original part broke after 9 months). The replacement strap broke after 3 months. So the average lifespan is 6 months? The watch is still good so I see no choice but to order a third one.

Pros
  • High-quality workmanship
Cons
  • Will write later

Strap retaining loop breaks easily

I have bought these replacements several times. The first pair took several months to a year for the loop to break. My last group broke up in just a few weeks. I have to wonder if they're just sitting in a warehouse of decaying rubber somewhere. Upon closer inspection, it reminds me of a rubber band sagging in the sun. It has cracks on the sides and is clearly very fragile.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

The belt holder is broken!

I have had a Garmin 225 watch for 5 years now. Love the watch never had a problem with it or the original strap. The strap holder broke about 2 months ago which was to be expected given it was 5 years old. I order a Garmin replacement band, install a new replacement band and screws. I wore the watch once and the bracelet holder (ring) broke. I couldn't believe it. But Revine got me a new replacement right away. I wanted to put on a new watch strap and when I took the strap out of the box I…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
