🚽 Gatco 1436MX Matte Black Free Standing Toilet Paper Holder Review

It looks amazing in my bathroom remodel. Very solid construction, feels heavy. I had another one I bought from a local store but it didn't really hold TP and kept falling off. I like this holder very much! :) UPDATE - 1/4/2021 Almost 4 years later - this product is still holding up. I've since moved out of my apartment and rent it out. And they still use this TP holder. Very happy with this purchase. Needed something for our newly remodeled bathroom - there aren't many options but there is a big difference in quality. I read so many reviews about these holders tipping over or being difficult to replace with toilet paper. It has a nice heavy base and doesn't tip or rotate when you pull on the toilet paper roll. Pros: Great weight and tear resistance. A real spring-loaded roller so the paper doesn't slide sideways or come loose when you pull it. The chrome is high quality and matches my Kohler fittings perfectly. Note. This is perfect for decorating a bathroom I'm renting for the holidays and needs a stand. It is mopped and polished after each guest's departure. I read various reviews from other buyers before buying this item. Here is my review of the Garco 1436BS Designer II paper stand. 1) Exactly like the picture. 2) To "assemble" only needs to screw the vertical part into the bottom part to actually stand up. In my experience, it screws in fairly easily and smoothly. The end result is a VERY STURDY paper holder on a base. In my experience it looks beautiful, the finish is perfect, it sits at the right height and I can't think of anything to improve

As for toilet paper holders: they do the job well. I looked at other places like RH, PB etc before making the more financially practical decision and ordering this one. A pleasant surprise was the metal napkin holder. This is not a cheap plastic tube like many others. I wish it was 2-3 inches taller, but it's big enough that it doesn't feel bulky.
