The Gates 42290 Water Pump proved to be a great investment for my vehicle. As a result of using this product, I found that my engine is now operating at the right temperature and my car runs much smoother. The installation of the water pump was simple and it fit perfectly in my car. The only downside is that it is a bit more expensive than other water pumps out there, but the quality and reliability is worth the extra cost.

The water pump was a direct replacement and worked well. The picture shows that it comes with a backing plate which is also the sealing face for your pump but there isn't one and you have to use your old one. It worked, but what if yours was damaged?
