GE Lighting 31110 40W 330LM Review

I'm not sure why they put ugly text on the bulb but it can be removed. I was able to scratch it, but I suspect something like nail polish remover would help gently remove it. Definitely an annoyance, but I was able to get it working. In addition, this is an ordinary incandescent lamp. Warms up, hopefully lasts long enough to find a replacement LED I like.

Ridiculous - the lamps I received have '330 LUMENS' at the top. This isn't a sticker, it's on the lightbulb itself, so when I put it in my lamp, this text would look right in my face from different angles. I say ridiculous because my lamp is the same as the one on the back of the product which it is clearly not suitable for. Not as shown, although PN 31110 will fit.

These bulbs are excellent for chandeliers where they are partially covered by a "glass cap" or similar covering. See my attached picture. A regular sized bulb would be too big and would stick out over the edge of the lid. Several previous buyers gave bad reviews because the bulbs were so small. However, they use lightbulbs for other purposes. If you need big light bulbs for bathroom cabinet, please use G25 size, not G16 1/2 size. If you want a "regular" size, use size A19.

Bulbs not checked when received.; I first noticed they were defective yesterday when I was replacing a burned out lightbulb. The new bulbs have "330 lumens" on top, while the GE bulbs I used to buy don't. These new bulbs are poorly painted, the paint on top is oddly rippled. They didn't shine at all, maybe they don't have contact. I tried both bulbs in the pack, neither caught fire. I tried one of my previously purchased lightbulbs in the same socket and it lit up. It's too late for a refund.
