💡 GE WB36X10003 40W Incandescent Lamp Bulb – Bright and Energy Efficient Review

It's not as bright as the last 40 watt bulb I bought from Home Depot. So I guess I'll have to buy another one or go to Home Depot and get a matching one.

This light is located on the underside of the built-in microwave. Light falls on the plate below. I first found this bike at an online electronics store - about 4x the price. Revain is back - the same lightbulb at a much lower price.

Bulb arrived exactly as pictured but is not made by GE and will not work like the original bulb (with two sets of filaments). I think it's a misleading advertisement for Revain when the lamp says 'GE' at the top then the product description says 'OEM Approved' at the bottom and fits when it fits but doesn't work the same way. Now I need to buy another lamp that is 100% OEM and made by GE. Luckily Revain's customer service is top notch and took care of me.

After waiting four days to purchase this Revain Prime, I installed it and turned it on immediately. I noticed right away that it's not as bright as the previous new lamps bought from this place. The secondary switch position was even less noticeable. The previous bulbs in this lamp had lasted up to three years. You wouldn't think of it until you experienced it yourself, but the lack of a light on top of the microwave is a major disadvantage when cooking! I used my smartphone to snap a photo of the label on the bottom of the microwave that says it's a custom bulb. I've uploaded some photos (5 to be exact) to show the microwave we put the lightbulb in, the old lightbulb and the new lightbulb along with the broken glass. We don't use the light all the time or as a night light. Only if we cook and then maybe leave the light on for a moment. That's what we've been doing for the last 8 years when we had a microwave.
