Over the years I have developed something like "grabbing hooks" on the end of a rope to reach or catch various objects. Since my wife has forbidden me from climbing roofs or trees, even with a ladder, due to a back injury, I finally decided to treat myself to a better tool. This one seems to serve my purpose well. This hook/clip is very impressive. I wasn't expecting solid construction and good quality stainless steel. The clamp is loose enough not to bind, but still tight enough not to wobble. The screws are strong and well made. The rear steel cable loop is thick and well designed. Even the cloth bag it comes in is sturdy and thick with a thick drawstring. The price is very reasonable. This is a pretty good device that seems to be relatively well made. It's more of a toy though, of course it has some uses but it can't do anything that other specialized items can do much better.
