Powerful for its size.

The 40x10 fan I got to remove smoke and odors from my 3D printer/laser cutter didn't work. It's still compact but has MUCH better airflow. It's not totally silent, but it's a lot quieter than the 120mm fan I was planning to use.

Pros
  • Superb design
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Holy shit, they move AIR!

Oh yes, they move air, lots of air! As others have said, they are not quiet but they don't care. You want to move a lot of air in a small bag. This work will be completed.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • No automatic

Great hot-end fan for 3D printer

I had trouble cloning Volcano E3 no matter what settings I tried. I screwed it onto the printed cooler and no more problems. Simply cut off the yellow speedometer cable and you're done

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Anything I can add?

13,000 rpm Air-Moving Hate

This thing moves air. Don't worry about your ears. Runs at 13,000 RPM when connected to my motherboard at 100%. Cools Nvidia Tesla M40 by 60% at full load when connected to a 3D-printed fan adapter. Still audible at this speed. Pros: High performance.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • protection

Powerful and a bit noisy

Noise isn't an issue in my application, but airflow is a factor and these fans provide plenty of airflow! I used two of these to make an airflow booster for my Kamado grill. Now I can reach temperatures of over 800 degrees for a Neapolitan pizza.

Pros
  • Dislike
Cons
  • Sad packaging

If you are looking for a noisy fan that moves.

If you're looking for a noisy fan that's constantly moving a lot of air, this is it. The BIOS said this thing was outputting 23,000 RPM, it was so loud I got someone else with had to buy a 4 pin connector so the motherboard could control the RPM.

Pros
  • understandable even to the old
Cons
  • approx.

Miniature Jet Engines with Lots of HF Noise

These fans move a lot of air and are like mini jet engines with just the right amount of noise associated with that air movement. If you want a small turbo fan and limited space, this is for you. I've noticed that they tend to transmit quite a bit of RF noise to the circuitry they're connected to, so using some bypass capacitors would be a good idea.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Older Model

It blows a lot of air but is noisy.

Moves a lot of air, but even when decelerating to 5500 RPM (the slowest I could get from the motherboard) it was still very audible and louder than I expected. It is not recommended to use this fan when you are in the same room.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • A few minor things

More force! - Fans in Case

If you want a quiet fan buy another fan, if you want a fan that turns air into a bitch then this fan is for you. Defect? no mounting screws, but I solved this problem with my drill (use bigger drill than half drill, use old screws)

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Something Different
