Sensor OEM Quality

Actually works in my 99sr5 but the ECT code still shows even if it reads the temp accurately. Maybe my ECU has a problem as I can't say I can blame the component itself. Definitely works better than the $10 I tried last year which, unlike before, almost resulted in some stop and travel issues because it was junk.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Lots of things

Fixed cooling circuit problems

Installed on a 1997 Land Cruiser FZJ80. Pretty difficult to remove and install, but everything went perfectly. As others have said you will need a copper washer which is not included. An overnight order from my local retailer was $2. Checked P0116, real time temp below 90F. I installed a new sensor and the idle temperature read normal.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons

OEM but Crush Washer required!

This is an OEM and the stamp is visible to show. After installing it, I didn't understand the need for a washer as the one that moved away from the other sensor must have fallen off. After installing a new sensor, my car leaked a fair amount of coolant due to the anti-pressure washer not being installed. I couldn't understand why, so I did a little research on the internet and found information about the need for a washing machine. I went to the parts store and bought the right one and the leak

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • I will add later

NOTE: The sensor does not come with the required WASHER (O-ring)!

YES, Toyota OEM sensor, made in Japan, original Toyota packaging and label. Dealer diagram website), BUT the sensor is sold without the required washer (O-ring) for a tight, leak-free installation. Not even in the dealer's parts department. So you need to go to your Toyota dealer and get an OEM washer (O-ring) part no. DO THIS RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. DO NOT cut corners or try to save $3 by skipping the caulk or using teflon tape or any type of pipe sealant. OEM sensor Toyota. DO IT RIGHT. Hooray!

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
