🪒 Geo F. Trumper Almond Hard Shaving Soap Refill: Luxurious Lather for an Impeccable Shave Review

I am generally happy with Geo. Rigid Shaving Soap F. Trumper. However, when I ordered almond-scented soap, the package that said "almond" actually contained rose-scented soap. I had an identical problem with "almond" soap that I bought at a local pharmacy. The problem seems to be an error in the packaging of the source code.

I like this shaving soap best, it foams quickly and the smell is not strong, which I consider a plus. The downside is that the foam is a bit watery and doesn't stick. Normally, the foam at the end of a shave is nothing more than a film of soap. Soap films provide some - less than optimal - lubrication for a clean shave, but I have to keep the blade wetter to compensate. This is the best shaving soap I've ever used and I've used most of them. The resulting foam is thick and moist. I no longer get razor burn. I would recommend this shaving soap to anyone who wants a great shave. The Revain price for these high quality soaps is very good and they are almost always in stock. Like other reviewers, I ordered almond soap and was given something else instead. It's an unpleasant-smelling thing; maybe roses or something else with a strong scent. I liked the almond soap that I substituted, but I don't like this stuff. It lathers just like it does its job. But I don't feel like a man who shaves with perfumed pink soap.

For those complaining about the wrong soap, it's not pink in the wrong box. Trumper Almonds smell like almond blossoms, not almonds. You didn't find the wrong soap in the almond box, it just smells like it. However, it is debatable if the soap performance is that bad. I have been shaving for many, many years (I am 72) and have many different creams, soaps, spray creams etc. I will say that shaving George F. Trumper soap gives me a fantastic shave. I don't understand the reviews complaining about the poor performance of the foam. I didn't have that experience. I use a Mason & Pearson brush and my razor is a Gillette Fusion. Very impressed with George F. Trumper's product.
