Use it every day in crockery and cutlery

I was skeptical when I bought it. I know Gerber is either wrong or wrong about their products, but to be honest they succeeded here. It's incredibly light and strong, although I'd be lying if I said it's indestructible. However, I use it almost every day. I find its design stands up to most of the food I cook and even cooks better than regular forks and spoons.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Only available in black

Sustainability

My meals are eaten in the field, often served in boxes. I like to use the utility knife feature to cut out the valve and make food more accessible. I like not to use disposables and I've convinced my team to do the same. The cutting edge makes this spork better than most. I gave one to a colleague and the other to a film crew. More flowers please.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • No machine

Dishwasher broken.

This product was great until I washed it in the dishwasher. After doing a little research, I found that anodized aluminum is not dishwasher safe, but nowhere in their documentation does it say so. I find it a bit ridiculous that they make dishes, even camping dishes, that aren't dishwasher safe, but it would be forgivable if they actually mentioned it in their literature.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • So far so good

Amazing Tool - Camping & Hiking

This spork is phenomenal. I can't find where it says what it's made of (here or on the Gerbers website). It feels and reacts like titanium. A one-way multi-tool acts as a stand, keeping the edible end off the surface as you lower it. In the same configuration, you can place it on the rim of a cup or bowl without moving it. If it's attached with the prybar end up, you can use it without even realizing it's attached. Lightweight, durable, portable and well made.

Pros
  • Convenient Item
Cons
  • No Performance

Fork teeth are unnecessary and useless

Fool I bought this for my son to use on his first hike last September not thinking he was left handed. So when he used it, the teeth were on the wrong side for him. After using it myself I really don't like the "Spork" style as the teeth are really useless so a waste of time. The construction is top notch and so are the materials, but the detachable bottle opener/spoon holder adds unnecessary weight and is useless. There are better titanium spoons with long handles.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

It's an expensive connector but worth it

Great flash, good textured grip and very well done anodizing too. Coming from the Spork, the multi-tool is very durable and also pretty good for the money in its stated features. The only thing I don't like is the thickness of the pole. It's only a few millimeters thinner, and while it's strong enough if you're eating ice cream, be a little careful and it'll likely bend if you're in your pack while hiking and fall on the pack. Fixable, but still.

Pros
  • Easy to set up
Cons
  • Easily repairable
