2 year old great granddaughter played with her mittens in the snow at the weekend. She had been gone an hour and her little hands were warm and fuzzy when she returned to the house. She found herself on all fours quite often, throwing snow. Despite the fact that these are knitted mittens, the hands and the inside of the gloves were dry. They were easy to put on and kept your hands warm.

I bought these for my 3.5 year old son, he loved the fluffy gloves. They kept his hands warm in the cold New England winters. The inside slides out (non-removable) for easy washing and drying, and the outer jersey holds up surprisingly well. They're called "girly" gloves, but there are gender-neutral colors and he doesn't care what color they are. It should be noted that these gloves are in no way waterproof; they shouldn't be.

Very warm and ingenious is that the cuff unfolds to tuck extra material into the sleeve to keep the gloves tucked in and difficult for kids to remove. However, the fluffy lining is not attached to the inside of the glove and is slightly pulled outward when the glove is removed. It's a little tricky to put back on properly (my 30 year old hands are a little too big to smooth the lining in toddler gloves) but overall the warmth the gloves provide is worth the little effort.
