The photo makes it seem like the waist sinches in where the fabrics meet but it doesn't. It is all.one shape. Otherwise it was cute. My daughter likes it. The skirt material.is kind of thin but there is a lining layer.

It is a very pretty dress with good quality material, except for the white, cotton slip under the skirt part. It's all wrinkled and will need to be ironed.

I bought this for my daughter's Christmas concert. She loved it and I got many compliments on how cute her dress was. Bottom is super lightweight and soft, top is not stretchy so beware if you are in between sizes or if your child has large arms/shoulders.

If you order a size up it would be ok. It was cheaply made, you could see strings hanging straight out the package. Tutu skirt could be too short for taller girls!
