Rope is cool for outdoor recreation

Ahhhh, just buy it. The rope is super good. Smooth and easy to work with. Comparing this type of rope to others in local outdoor stores. This one is way better. If you are looking for a smooth rope that binds well and stretches well. So be it.

Pros
  • dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • boring packaging

very dissatisfied with GM Climbing

If I had known this 6mm rope was made in China I would never have bought it. If GM Climbing can't manufacture in the US, I don't need it. I will not risk my life if I buy climbing products made in China. Shame about GM Climbing.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Out of fashion

it's decent on rope, string and strap

What it is and what it isn't. It's a decent, inexpensive, extra cable. This is not a premium line. It is certified as a 12kn accessory cable by the UIAA on the UIAA website. It's polyester, not nylon, so it's smooth and a bit stiff. It's not the best option for things like Prusiks and Autoblocks, but it works for them. You may want to add an additional wrapper. It's made in China, like iPhones and 80% of everything else in the world.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Very difficult. Tight loops break integrity.

Not suitable as an accessory cable. super hard. Linking Prusiks and Claimheists sucks. It gets so stiff that I wouldn't trust it unless it was already tight on the rope. Due to the stiffness when tying tight loops I wouldn't trust it not to break under load. Good for anchoring if you don't have tight loops in your system. I wouldn't trust that on a system that is NOT AT LEAST triple redundant.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Very reliable cable

I have entrusted my life to this cable several times. I use it for climbing, mainly knitting a double fishman quad, double over line and tying a set of overhands. I have no doubts about the quality of the cable as it has endured over a year of hard wear and tear. I would caution against using this line for beginners as the line usually works better and is significantly stronger, although it does work quite well in a pinch. The knots untie fairly easily when tied properly, although mine hardly…

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • There are nuances

Emptor for Climbing Warning

Please note that GM Climbing, which is based outside of China, was blacklisted by the UIAA in 2015 for claiming to be UIAA certified and CE compliant be. Your website is unreliable and full of spelling mistakes. If you click on any of the links at the bottom of the home page, FAQ, Contact Us, Shipping etc, they all link to the home page only, including About Us. Let the buyer be alert. I returned the cable I bought. Trusting a company that makes false claims and statements about devices that…
