Red paint is peeling off. It is clear that the glass itself is not red, but is covered with some kind of paint that is now coming off. I have not used the bowl for anything other than decoration. It has never been washed in the dishwasher or even hand washed. WILL NOT BUY AGAIN."

I like this bowl very much! That's great! I wanted some parts of Godinger Dublin. I found some at Macy's but they were out of the bowl. I went to my familiar Revane and, WALLA, here it is! I was pleased! Arrived cheaply and safely. One of the Macy's parts broke. I heard the UPS driver throw it at my front door. However, my Amazon courier delivered with care!

This is a beautiful ruby red serving bowl. I look forward to using it in my Waldorf salad this Christmas. To update. Well, Waldorf lettuce looked great in that bowl. However, after washing by hand, I noticed a few spots on the bottom of the bowl where the red has chipped off the glass, so small patches of clear glass can now be seen in a few places.
