So I bought a cheap one and bought a Go Pro. I don't use them for diving, I use them for paintball but I wanted to protect the pro. Well the Go Pro One and other brands are very similar but I haven't heard that the Go Pro Brand One is that much better built, heavier and tighter built. I received this underwater housing with Hero 8 Black but it doesn't fit properly. The bottom of the record button doesn't touch the Hero 8 Black's record button, so there's no way to start or stop recording underwater. Also, the bottom of the buttons is a sharp metal spike which I believe will poke a hole in a GoPro with prolonged use. Worked a few dives then flooded, wrecked camera. After the flood I checked the oring carefully, found no debris or damage so I don't know how I could have prevented it. I really noticed that the camera starts flooding at depth. I might have saved the camera, but I was on a drift dive on a wreck and would have swept past my group of divers on resurfacing.
