Gourmet Basics Mikasa 16 Piece Dinnerware Review

Despite the attractive cookware set and excellent value for money. Don't be fooled into thinking this is Mikasa's signature cookware. These are fakes from China. The brown box it came in says "Mikasa" but there is no "Mikasa" stamped on the plate, bowl or mug. I know these are copies as I have lived abroad in China. They are still very attractive and copied to perfection. Value for money is great but durability is not assured.

I was looking for tableware to combine with the many handmade stoneware bowls and mugs I have collected over the years. It was the perfect choice. These dishes are great and they all look great together. The cups are a good size, the bowls are bigger than I'm used to, but I like it. Dinner plates are large too, and I often use smaller plates unless I'm eating a lot. In general, I liked the set, I recommend it.

I've been looking for a new tableware for a long time and this one suits me in every way - simple but unique, tasteful and refined, durable but not heavy, and high quality workmanship .
