Let me just say the stool is sturdy. I use tiles in my kitchen. It doesn't roll smoothly over the edges of the tile and requires a little extra effort, but it works. I'm one of those motivated by a broken ankle. I was looking for a caster stool to use in my workshop that has an impressive height range. It gets low enough to work below table level and high enough to replace standing. The six wheels on a rolling base work reasonably well and assembly is easy. I spent the extra money on the seat back and chose this seat because the overall look is better than the cheaper alternatives. an inch or two too close to the seat. This puts my center of gravity too far

If you want to avoid serious injury, DO NOT buy this stool. I bought it in late March and sat on it maybe 10 times and on June 13, 2020 my leg bent and the stool went backwards and we hit the ground hard. On impact, the back hit my back. The whiplash and impact was terrible and the pain that followed is still there. I can hardly move, even today. In addition, I am also partially disabled.
