As a descendant of Mary Boleyn I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with this necklace. Good reproduction, although the chain is slightly longer than the original. This length makes it easier to wear than a choker size for all ages. Despite the fact that it is costume jewelry, it is a good souvenir to give to my granddaughters as a reminder of their ancestors. This is cheap costume jewelry but still I feel like it will fall apart if I pull it the wrong way. It's barely assembled, even for costume jewelry, and I need to reinforce it in a few places. However, it's a great suggestion for those of us who love historical detail in our costumes - I'll be using mine in an Elizabeth I costume - a nod to her infamous mother, as shown in the portrait.
