🧔 GRAVE BEFORE SHAVE Beard Conditioning Butter 4 oz. in Leather/Cedarwood scent Review

This is my first GBS product and I was really looking forward to it. The smell is amazing, unlike any other fragrances in my collection. If your product is hard and grainy, microwave it for 90 seconds and then freeze it for about 12 hours and it's good as new.

I have been using Every Man Jack beard oil and beard balms for a long time. The oil had the consistency of a lotion and the balm was a bit thick and grainy. GBS Beard Oil has a great, almost fluffy texture, isn't too thick and goes on nice and smooth like a bum.

In my opinion, the smell is really the only good thing about this product. Received it in the mailbox on an 80 degree day and was excited to open it to see how it smelled. I was surprised to see that it turned into a liquid with the heat of the air. This caused a bit of a mess, as when the lid was closed, liquid oil seeped out the side and through the top's threads. I received my beard oil this week. Before using this I stopped using a balm or oil every day and sometimes both. With this product I feel like I got the best of both worlds. The product is easy to apply and I feel the scent stays on my beard longer than an oil or balm. Will definitely continue to use this product.

Don't get me wrong, Grave Before Shave makes good products. This one didn't last a bit. For the price you get 4 ounces of oil. Good value for money. Take good care of the beard. Nothing outstanding. But what killed me was the smell. I know how leather smells. I know what cedar smells like. This oil is neither. I hate saying this because the term is overused in the bearded community. I would normally recommend this brand as all of their beard products have been very good for me so far. However, it's either a quality control violation or I'm stuck at the bottom of the batch because it's half coconut chunks (whatever it is, it doesn't melt) and it makes my beard look gross and clogs my trash brush. I want to say right away that I don't like men's fragrances at all. I'm an asthmatic and really heavy and intense smells usually give me full blown asthma attacks and that's basically what most men's fragrances are (at least for me they are).
