LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I looked for a long time before I decided on this device. It takes a bit of tweaking to get the consistency you want, but "you" is the working word here because it can be a matter of personal taste. This gives you a slightly icy to snowy shave. I bought it in the spring and used it quite a bit last summer. In general I like it. The thing is big and heavy. It's basically a little drill clad in cool plastic. Well packaged, no damage in transit. The car is mostly assembled. I had to add legs and a handle. The screw and press holding the block of ice were covered in machine grease and wrapped in plastic. Great Stuff! Produces lots of very fine ice chips, as do machines that cost 5-10 times more than this machine. Mine came with a plastic protector and I use that and it has saved me twice from being hit by a large chunk of ice whilst learning how to use the machine and how to make ice properly. I also highly recommend getting a footswitch so you can keep your hands free and turn off the machine by simply stepping back.
