Perfect except missing

I like the quality. This is an easy free play win for a three year old. I hate that it was only 100 pieces, although the advert and box clearly states 102 pieces :( I counted 4 times to check. Everything still counts as 4 stars. I would appreciate if you accept my sending of 2 thin Cylindrical pillars, judging by the picture of the box, these were the two missing pieces.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Wonderful, just small

These are very nice cubes. I didn't pay attention to the sizes in the description so they are a lot smaller than I expected. I wanted the standard size blocks you find in kindergarten, but they are a lot smaller. Very few large rectangular building blocks are found in most school sets. But this set is beautiful and my daughter loves them. They are very well made and encourage creativity.

small and insufficient on construction toys

These blocks are very well made. This really was my #1 item I was looking for when reading the reviews before Christmas. Now that we have them I'd say my kids aren't terribly impressed and I wish I'd only spent $40 and bought Melissa & Doug cubes. . They're a lot smaller than the cubes of my childhood I thought they were. And while 102 blocks sounds like a big set, I would argue that even a kid needs 1-2 extra sets to keep playing for a long time.

Pros
  • inspires confidence
Cons
  • the list will be long.

Expensive but GREAT quality!

We already have brightly colored foundation stones for toddlers. I ordered them in April for my toddler who will be 3 in August. He tried to get creative with the basic blocks, but we needed more. These blocks have the same amazing quality and the colored blocks match each other perfectly because they are the same size. This set will appeal to everyone from 0+ to 100+. We plan to add more. I could buy blocks cheaper but with Haba I know they are toxin free and will last for years. I could…

They like HABA stones and marble bridges

They like HABA stones and marble bridges. We love that they all work together. These blocks are great, but oddly they have a very strong "glue" smell that takes forever to dissipate. It's odd because it doesn't look painted or finished in any way as far as I can tell. My only minor complaint is that I wish it had more main blocks, especially long ones. There are tons of little cubes. A lot of people might disagree with me because "unusual" elements are cool. I love them too, but for building +…

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Expensive, but very beautiful - yes, I'm talking about wooden blocks

Well, I will seriously check wooden blocks? YES I AM! These blocks are the highest quality wooden blocks I have ever seen. If they weren't so damn expensive I would have ordered a few more cases. Now they just offer you some interesting shapes not found in regular wooden block sets, but the blocks themselves are absolutely beautiful. Very soft, splinter resistant, heavy and durable, and it comes with a nice canvas bag for when you want to take your logs to Aix-en-Provence or smash them off the…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • There are defects

Exquisite blockset!

I bought this building block set for my grandson after reading many reviews about the building block sets. I'm so glad I did my research as this blockset is far superior to any other blockset I've seen. The pieces are large, smooth and heavy. It includes a small book that gives examples of what can be built. Keep in mind this is just one set that this company sells - they have many other style sets. This is a set with a lock - there are sets with racetracks and many others. These blocks were…
