I've been looking at these shoes from time to time for years and have never seen a point in spending that much - even if I'm buying fake shoes. Eventually the price was good and I went broke. I wear them every day around the house. They are made of wool and will keep you warm in winter. They slip on and off and give me support that no slipper in the world can give. They look good enough to wear anywhere. I wish they were cheaper and I wish they were a size 47 but a size 46 seems to be the largest size Haflinger offers. Formerly European sizing, now US sizing. I'm a size 7. I used to be a 36 so I was told to take a size 6. Size 6 is too big. Didn't even realize I wanted 36 until the return window closed, but they gave me 37. Now I need to buy a pair of the right size. In addition, they have declined sharply compared to their production in Germany. I want them to be like they used to be. I'm fed up with other brands and have spent a lot of money but can't settle for shoes.

My husband has worn Haflinger for many years. Basically he wears them until they fall apart and then I buy him a new pair. He highly recommends them!

Although this pair was too big, I changed to a smaller size. These shoes are the best. I bought my first pair about 30 years ago and although I didn't wear them all the time I still kept them. After being diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis (sp) I put them on and they proved to be the best. Arch support was still perfect, but the rest of the shoe started to wear out. Hence the new order. I love this shoe. The best at all.
