It's not the best recessed light

This product is advertised as a 120 volt light and even states the type of bulb required. Light even if you wanted to buy it. Don't buy this if you want real light.

Pros
  • Tools and supplies
Cons
  • I'm worried

They go perfectly with halogen bulbs

At first I was interested in the dimensions of these recessed lights. I thought that 2 inches might be too small and that there wouldn't be enough light. However, you have to keep in mind that the typical light used here are halogen bulbs, which are very powerful. They are good with halogens in them. They are very attractive and modern.

Pros
  • Electric
Cons
  • Clarity

Sleek but very small compared to a typical shower light

We have a fairly large shower stall that has a larger footprint than a standard 4' x 5' tub. I planned to install two of these but ended up only having enough room for one because there was plumbing along the way. Anyway, I wasn't too worried since most souls can get by with just one light. But the opening on it is only 2" x 2", so even with a 50 watt halogen bulb it puts out very little light (especially with the black bezel). I believe it gives about a quarter of the light you get from a…

Pros
  • Recessed lighting
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

This is not an electric light fitting

This product is advertised as a 120V light source and even states the type of bulb required. Unfortunately, this is just a lens and there are no instructions to indicate compatible light, even if you're looking to buy one. Don't buy this if you want real light.

Pros
  • 15° tilt, 36° body orientation / body style offers 15° tilt and integrated 350° rotation of the bulb holder with thumbscrew

They are a perfect match for halogen bulbs

I was initially concerned about the size of these recessed lights. I thought that 2 inches might be too small and that there wouldn't be enough light. Pros
  • Recessed lights are AIR-TITE compliant to prevent airflow
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something in there

Slim but very small compared to a standard shower light
