It says basketball shirt but it's far from basketball shorts, it's short shorts, they're nice and thick, and the belt is very nice and thick , they are true to size , but they are larger. Looks like shorts that girls would wear under skirts or dresses, not basketball shorts!

I hadn't thought of that and the size is too big. I bought a size 7/8 for my 7 year old daughter and they are too big for her. They are also great for my slim 10 year old. I assume they will shrink. There are more loose-fitting activewear than skinny biker underwear shorts.

I ordered a medium size 7/8 for my 12 year old who is tall (5ft 1in) and skinny (103lbs). It fit her well on all sides and was perfect at the waist. I think if I had a big one it would be too big for her. I won't dry them because I'm sure they will shrink and then she won't be able to put them on at all because they are already short and sitting on her.

Despite the fact that these shorts seem to be of decent quality in terms of value for money, the size chart is completely wrong. I referred to this when purchasing for my daughters and measured both to ensure I ordered the correct size. When they arrived they were much larger than the size chart.
