Works great for storage and organization

My son spent the beginning of the year with a closet with no shelves and all his stuff just piled up on the floor and was difficult to organize and keep clean. At the same time, he can have shelves and not feel embarrassed in front of classmates when opening his locker. Since we switched to this organizer, there have been fewer instances of homework getting lost in a mess.

Submit my used item?: Floating shelves

I ordered this item to help my son clean out his locker. There were cheaper options from different companies but I ordered this one thinking it would last for years. It turns out they are sending me a used, dirty item with rust on the metal parts, or this item is really poor quality. I love the idea of this organizer, but at nearly $50 I expect perfection. Be careful!

The actual product takes up more than 2/3 of the locker unlike the picture

I'm pretty sure my son's locker is a standard size but I'll admit I didn't before renting it could get him to measure it properly choosing what I wanted for it. In the photo it seems that it takes up about 2/3 of the width of the locker. In my son's case, it's probably about 7/8 wide, and there's barely enough room to snuggle a jacket next to it, and definitely not enough to use in outside pockets. Much better than the shelves in the lockers!

This item is awesome! My son started high school this year and got his first locker. I first bought some cheap locker shelving at a big cash store. They didn't work at all. Because the bottom of his locker wasn't quite level, it collapsed every time he put something on the shelf! One of his classmates had one and shared the packaging with me, so I made an investment and placed an order. It worked great!
