Just received the spoons. I opened the package and immediately noticed that one of the six was broken. The spoons look ok. I'm just sorry for the broken one. Don't waste time repacking and sending back. I guess I have to live with a set of 5. Considering one broke in transit I don't expect the others to last long.

We bought the ceramic versions of this style of spoon but they are heavy and frankly a bit overkill for everyday soup use. These melamine spoons, mostly white, are almost always used in most Chinese and Japanese restaurants. It has a very nice design and looks better than a regular plastic spoon without feeling heavy in your hand like ceramic. I immediately washed them in the dishwasher and they held up with no issues with the finish or surface texture. Excellent purchase!

We LOVE these spoons! They're a good size and the angle and depth of the spoon makes it easy to use with soups or whatever we like to use.
