Ease of installation. Works perfectly.

Easy to install. Works perfectly. Just make sure you understand that the end of the rod with the plastic insert goes into the part you are mounting with the plastic end, but not before you install it. It's a bit confusing because they are already taped for delivery the other way.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

How to remove the inner rod for installation.

It was very difficult to remove the inner rod. The instructions say to pull very, very hard. I almost returned this item. But in the end he pulled the pole out. Otherwise it looks like high quality metal and a long extension with a wide cap to keep the hangers from slipping off the end of the rod.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Some problems

Good quality but doesn't fit

I have a custom closet from Closets By Design and didn't want to buy a bar from them because it's $75 so I ordered this one. The bad news is that it doesn't fit. It's about 2 inches longer and none of the holes match up. The quality is good, but check your measurements. I'll probably try to drill a few extra holes and try to get it working to try not to double pay from the cabinet manufacturing company. .

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Almost never

My comments for an easier and safer installation

Agree with the comments above on how difficult it is to get the stem out of the casing. My husband just had back surgery so he couldn't pull it. I'm not strong enough to pull it out on my own, so. We used the handle to slip the black end of the pole under the heels of his boots while he was standing and I pulled the case up. Be careful not to put your fingers over the holes in the housing when pulling, as my fingers will tear, the drill holes are very sharp. This is a quality service pole. It's
