My magic cube arrived today. It came in relatively nondescript packaging - it was cardboard, not plastic, which was a good thing. It was still sealed tightly with tape and required a blade to open. I played with the original Rubix cube when they first came out in the 80's. These early models had flower decals. This new model of Rubix Cube has a colored plastic insert that is much stronger and has a nice appearance. The original Rubix was also much stiffer when it was first used. I remember having to put in graphite powder to speed up the turning process.
