Great boots. the best in my rating

Overall a great boot. Cozy inside and very stylish. My little friend was so happy when he opened the box. The fire engine print just suited him perfectly. He is 4 years old and carries a toddler 12, he was a bit big but works great with thick socks. Highly recommended for anyone who loves fire engines.

  • 5 year old loves them, wears them all the time and they hold up well
Cons
  • The Hatley Boy raincoat can be too difficult for children to put on and take off by themselves.

Sweet but not durable

My son wore his Thomas & a Friends boots every day for six months until they finally broke. We wore them far less often and failed much sooner. The heel is now worn and shows a cavity. They are said to be leaking now, and they definitely have rocks/mud in them. Back to a different look!

Great boots, maybe we received one with a broken strap which broke the second wear without stretching otherwise everything is great!

Would have gotten 5 stars if one of the straps hadn't snapped the second time my son wore them. This also did not occur when putting on and taking off. My husband picked it up and a strap just broke on the sides where it connects to the boot. We didn't go back because they are star boots and the straps only need to be put on and taken off for the kid, mine are too small to handle, we put them on for him anyway. Absolutely gorgeous boots - a very happy granddaughter of "big cars" is delighted. I was very confused about the size so I did a lot of research after reading so many reviews as living in New Zealand living in NZ did not consider going back to be an option. I ended up buying a size 11 Little Boys for my 3 year old grandson. His foot is 16.5cm and although the boots are a bit large (maybe 1-2 sizes) he can still wear them with socks so I'm glad I wore more for the money. I'd rather have it that…

With the extra fabric and tighter cut, they fit more like an 11, so you can order more.

The picture is a bit deceptive with the print of the rainy dogs, they look pink but don't worry, they are definitely red! I ordered a matching terry lined coat in red so I was sure of the color before ordering. Some of the printed images are distorted and stretched, but you don't see that at first glance.
