Difficult Length Estimation

We have a great floor mop that we bought from a local cleaning and cleaning supply store that has since gone out of business. These online are the correct brand but I guessed the size (sold and labeled in whole inch increments and actual measurements were not whole inch increments). I thought I was the right size - it was tight and the hole spacing looked correct in the online photo - turns out it wasn't quite the right replacement.
