Headphones KZ ZS5 Microphone Detachable Review

These earbuds failed to deliver on their promises of crisp sound and noise cancellation. They were uncomfortable to wear for prolonged periods, the bass was overpowering and the treble sounded muffled. The only pro was the detachable microphone, but it wasn't worth the extra expense. Save your money and invest in better electronics.

Sounded really great. However, as one or two other reviewers have pointed out, there is no rib on the sound lever to hold the rubber earcup. They were fine for a couple of weeks and then I had to pry the gums out of the ear canal with tweezers every time I removed the earmold. I may have to glue the earcup on, which defeats the purpose of replacement earbuds. Others have said the entire earbud won't stay inside. Hard to beat these headphones even at five times the price or more. The sound is detailed and there is no fuzziness or clutter in the mids and highs compared to the M6-Pro which was my previous IEM on stage. To use the hackneyed phrase, "It was like taking a heavy blanket off the sound," but in this case, it's literally true.
