I bought these thinking they would make a beautiful and functional decoration for my bar. Firstly, do not buy them if you live in a humid environment. They melt and leave a saltwater puddle. Even if you put it on a bowl/plate it will make a watery mess. Second, the candle hole is only deep enough for a tea light, which actually only lasts for a short time - 30-45 minutes at most. At first the packaging was just a thin piece of plastic that was placed on top of the candles and then thrown into a box. As other people have said, these items are not 100% identical - they must be unique. They're carved from huge chunks of salt, so don't really expect perfection - they're all slightly different in shape and colour. not me. My standard tealights fit with no problem, no adjustments needed. They give a nice, subtle shine. I think some reviewers might confuse "tea candles" with "votive candles".
