NOT covered in greasy, smelly sediment!

Perfectly annealed 22 gauge wire. My main reason for leaving this review is to let future buyers know that this wire is not covered in greasy stench residue as other reviews have claimed. I use this type of wire a lot and have never had a coated spool. into anything. Well, maybe a very light lube to keep it from rusting in the box, but that's about it.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

The package talks about cancer and reproductive harm!

TF/ From smelly dark grease covering the wire? Ai yi yi. They don't say, but they do say wash your hands after treatment - which I did reflexively, using a bag of baby wipes and spraying with alcohol - when I worked with him. Unfortunately, I didn't read it until I wanted to reorder! So I gave him a two. Smelly, greasy and dangerous. but I liked what I achieved with it. and try to find another black steel. And I'm only 50 feet, not 175!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

There is a rough black oily film on the wire and my hands are completely black from cutting 18 short lengths of wire for my jewelry projects. There are some slight bends in the wire (which are much harder to see in the photo) so I had to cut these pieces off as I need a nice long unkinked piece of wire to make my glass studs on. There…
