I'm deducting a star because the lamp's soft, delicate color is paired with an ugly black cord that clashes sharply. To do this, you need a white or beige cord. Nobody has black walls! No lamp should have a black wire that isn't good for grilling. I like that the cable has a dimmer.

Someone gave me this and I love it. this is especially helpful for my weather-prone Miniature Schnauzer. if I hold him and make him face him, he calms down much quicker. I bought one for my sister in law whose dog has the same problem and it works for her too. I leave it on in the living room all the time and still don't understand how it works. it creates a sense of peace.

Bought as a gift for an old friend who now lives in a nursing home. I had it delivered straight to my home for Christmas. She wasn't even sure who it was from and when I called her she couldn't say enough how much she loved it. She leaves it on for 24 hours and has since called me back to tell me what a beautiful glow it adds in a small room at night. For the money, it brought her invaluable joy.

I know the colors are different but mine is gray with ugly black dots - not pink. That would be nice, but it's getting so hot that I don't dare leave it alone. It can be good for heating a chicken coop if you can protect the surrounding area from fire. But I don't know what to use it for. Aha! I put it in the bathroom when I take a bath. It will add some light and help warm the room. I had to save for pink.

Got this for my 7 year old daughter who is obsessed with stones and crystal. She loves it and uses it as a night light every night. It turned out to be heavier than expected, making it difficult to wrap up for Christmas, which wasn't a big deal but worth noting. It offers a beautiful, subtle glow that can be dimmed if desired, perfect for sleeping. I would buy this again in a heartbeat! It was a great price for its value!

The description states that the salt lamp must be without a base and the photos show lamps with dark pink variations. The lamp sent to me has a black base. The actual Himalayan salt rock is partially detached from this base and is difficult to move. Mine is so light pink that it looks like a regular sea salt lamp, not a pink Himalayan salt lamp. The light itself would often lend itself if I used a dimmer. I was very disappointed with the quality.

Last year I bought the larger at my local department store for $24.99 and was happy to find it here ( the same brand), but cheaper and with size options. I have a large one in my bedroom but thought one would look cute in the kids room. I ordered the smaller size expecting it to be egg shaped like the larger. but instead it looks like a broken big one like someone dropped it and cracked the top. I also bought it for $16.99 and now I see the price is $14.09. Disappointing to say the least.
