I bought these whistles for safety months ago and I haven’t had to use one until today. I carry one with me at all times, so when I was walking at a state park this morning and came upon a coyote, I blew it once and the coyote ran off. I have never been that close to a coyote. Bought it because I needed a new whistle with a pea for coaching, but soon realized it’s cheaply constructed and not all whistles are created equally. Not really sure how you mess up a whistle, but these guys did it! Pea gets stuck, very often, and the plastic cracks easily.

Ordered this to signal to kids that lunch is over. There are 2 teachers with this duty, so it was nice to buy a 2 pack. Both whistles work well and can be worn around the neck (not heavy at all). We like to blow 3 sharp blasts to signal that lunch is over. Works great for our community.

The rubber mouth guard feels better, but slips off if you hold it in your mouth between whistles. Ball got stuck a couple times already when going hard.

I love these whistles because you can control how loud they are. Some whistles are loud no matter what but for this one it can be pretty quiet or loud depending on your breath. I think they are great and they were a really good price for 2.

I bought these for substitute teaching. Subs need a whistle more than the regular gym teachers. These work fine, but they are not as loud as the ones we remember hearing back in elementary school.

I mean, it's a whistle. it does the job just fine. The issue is that it's almost TOO light, so I will lose track of where it is as I cannot feel it around my neck. Also, from time to time the 'pea' inside gets stuck. Typical for whistles, and this one is cheap, so it's not really a deal breaker.

I am planning to use this when hiking and use it as a prop in photography. It's hard plastic. It does the job creating noise, but not loud enough to kill your hearing. It's an average size, not too small or big. This whistle is perfect in a friendly sport among friends. My review is neutral.

after using it on my job. I use it as I was directing traffic on the street,for some unknown reason started failing to work.

We attach these whistles to our dog leashes. We spend a lot of time in the desert and the dog knows to come when she's out running loose and hears it. We can't yell loud enough to be heard and this fits the bill. It's just loud enough to get the job done without blasting our eardrums.

I bought these for recess duty. I blew one of the whistles one day and it didn’t give the whistle sound. The ball inside got stuck in the top slit and made more of a high pitched screech. The other one has been working well!
