I guess they have no metal as I am allergic to metal on almost all belts. They work pretty well and I'm glad they came in a set of two as I'm not sure how long they will last. But at least they are inexpensive and hold up my pants. They are great for carrying a pistol in the belt, but are too thin to wear outside of the belt. You can crop them. I recommend going longer than you expect so you can trim it.
