I was very disappointed with the pad thickness. I was expecting more padding on the lining based on the photos shown on this article. I was having trouble ironing before this pad came out because the metal on the board showed up on everything I ironed so I had to fix that by doubling the pad with two bath towels. The pad that came with this cover is no thicker than my previous pad. So until I find a very thick pad I have to keep using 2 towels to soften all ironed items. Very disappointed.
