In the first photo, the gold colored hook is fresh out of the packaging. The second photo shows the gold colored hooks after two weeks. I don't wear earrings every day, but I do often. They're so blotchy they look awful. I've tried polishing, cleaning, everything. You will be shot. I've learned my lesson you get what you pay for. If you actually want to wear them, choose a higher quality product.

These hooks seem to be rare these days. They were fine but not small enough to replace my broken ones with special earrings. The choice is good, both silver tone and gold tone, two sizes each. These were the only ones of this kind that I could find; They used to be so common. So, I'm running out of a few bucks and have to go to the jewelry store. But if you want thinner hooks of this type, they're good and affordable. Just don't expect them to match more sophisticated jewelry.

I make jewellery, some for sale but mostly for myself. no extra backing attached. I've tried different versions of these headphones, here and on Etsy, but I keep coming back to these because they're hard to find in size (1 inch) and the design is superb and easy to use. The other wire ears I had to use a loop tool before crimping as they weren't bent enough, but they crimp easily and don't require any extra fiddling. Good product!
