I use this cable with a Shure SM57 dynamic microphone connected to iRig Pro Duo to record my acoustic guitar on the iPhone 7 Plus via GarageBand. No problem. Great for my purpose but I don't need the full length and will probably improve things slightly with a shorter version of this cable.

These cables appear to be of fairly good quality, they are very thick and have a neoprene jacket so are a bit difficult to roll. The material has a certain "memory". I also had an issue plugging one of these into a Blue active mic when the system picked up radio stations, but it may have been the mic I returned for replacement. However, when I replaced this cable with one of my other brands of 25ft cables, the pickup was much less. So there could be a problem with the escape. I am not sure if I
