I've been dealing with HP printers and inks for many, many years and suddenly I realized that black ink runs out fast, even though my computer printer says it still does there is a lot of ink in the cartridge. Finished very soon. I have not printed more than 100 pages. According to the description, 300 pages should be printed. I was arguing between this cartridge and an instant ink subscription and the subscription didn't make sense as we don't print more than 20 pages per month and the lowest option is 50 pages per month. But it would be cheaper. I wonder if this is HP's strategy for getting people to sign up for their Instant Ink program. So disappointed!

This cartridge contains very little ink. I mainly used it for printing small sections of spreadsheets and the occasional document with lots of white space. I'm only using these documents for reference, so I made a printable draft. Less than 100 pages came out of this cartridge. How do I know that less than 100? This HP ink (and HP Officejet Pro 6968 printer) is a joke. I recently bought this HP black ink which says it prints 300 pages and I have less than ten. Now my HP printer is reporting low ink. This is a brand new HP Officejet Pro printer that I bought in December. Complete divorce from HP. The ink is used up after approx. 30 pages of black printing. XL is not better. It's more than twice the price and is about 60 pages long. The printer will also not print black correctly if one of the color cartridges is empty. Never buy HP again. I have to order ink every two months and average less than 1 page per day. Epson is the only way to save money on printer ink.

I was running out of cyan and yellow ink so I decided to take advantage of Revain's great price and also stock up on the black cartridge by buying a tri color pack. Finally, ran out of black ink today, I opened the box and replaced the black cartridge and lo and behold the thing is defective. Fits the same as all my other 902 cartridges, but for some reason it won't let black ink through. To make matters worse, we are still 2 days away from the "return deadline". arggg!
