I've never had a problem with an HP OEM cartridge. This one works great, as do the others. One thing you should understand is that a toner cartridge does more than just hold the toner. It also contains a drum on which the soon-to-be-printed image is formed by the electrostatic deposition of toner. The deposited toner then heats up on the page and forms an image.
