These were the first pair for my daughter who was about 1 year old. She loves them and gives us all the time to dress her so she can walk outside. They only start to wear out after 5 months of frequent use, but they are still functional even then. She's plump and the shoes don't seem uncomfortable to her. The only downside is that they get wet quickly when hiking through mud, but I really don't expect more from toddler shoes at this price.

My child LOVES these shoes. She hated wearing shoes and always fought me in them until it came. They are super eastern to wear and stay! They open wide so you don't feel like you're putting a child's foot in. I only give one star because of the quality of the leather/lacquer. the first time we went for a walk the paint was chipping near the rim. We bought these on a whim for our one year old son who hardly wore shoes. He's only been running for a few months and they offer excellent protection for his feet while remaining very flexible and comfortable to walk in. They go out a lot, but they're great for most purposes. We had a pair of sneakers for our daughters which were great quality and durable but for the price I would go with these. They have held up great for a fraction of the cost of name brand shoes and are really cute.
