🚰 Optimized HydroBlu Versa Flow Water Filter System Package Review

Worked reasonably well on a 4 day 52 mile hike but has some improvements. The pouches provided are useless, I had to buy a 2 liter CNOC Vector bottle which worked great. The filter didn't fit 28mm smart water bottles perfectly, causing water to drip when you try to use them. So I don't recommend using it with a dirty smart water bottle. I liked, used and abused the HydroBlu filter for several years and decided I should probably get a new one. Nice to see some bottle improvements. I like the increased volume, transparent panel, clip and handle. I gave up bottles on the previous model in favor of clear Evernew bottles, but these new HydroBlu bottles are good. This worked very well and is worth the money. Seems to have higher throughput than (for example) the Sawyer Mini. This may be because it simply has more surface area (the area with the filter tube looks larger than the Sawyer Mini, roughly proportional to the amount of water it filters). A window where you can see the status of the filter is useful. The accessories and the included bags are good. You will need a way to backwash the filter (such as a large syringe) - this is not included. We…
