Great little antenna

Short enough to fold and wear on your hip. Long enough to turn around and get pretty good reception. Will be updated if there are problems.

Pros
  • Outstanding all round performance
Cons
  • Clarity

Good deal at the current price.

Great antenna. Receives and transmits much better than the factory antenna on my Yaesu FT2D. It works great even when folded.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not for everyone

Revainrating 3 out of 5

No resonance at specified frequencies

SWR too high for specified frequencies (144, 430). The dips are around 180 MHz and 480 MHz and are too high on the remaining bands. It lasts better than a rubber ducky for what it's worth.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Works but base fell off

Antenna works great. I have a lot of gain over the stock rubber duck antenna. I like the ability to fold them for compact storage. The only criticism I have is that the antenna's SMA socket broke after being pressed several times. I recommend using the BNC connector if, like me, you plan to take it off a lot.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

So far so good

So far I'm really liking this antenna. Makes a solid and well-built impression. I use it on a Garmin Alpha 100 dog collar system. I don't think it will last forever once the antenna folds up. I'm curious how long and will probably replace it with another one!

Pros
  • CB and talkback radios
Cons
  • Crumpled

Does not work with TYT handhelds.

Bought two antennas from the same company, this one and a longer stealth field antenna. This one won't work. In the city even the repeater didn't catch. Tried on several handheld computers - the result is the same. Does not work with a used TYT handset.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Something else

Outrageous looks, works like gangbusters

This antenna gives my radio amateur more signal than the rubber ducky antenna that came before. At one point in my house I noticed that the original antenna was giving me very harsh reception from a 2m high radio tower on a hilltop about 7 miles away. Even when folded, this antenna receives a clearer signal from the same tower. Definitely an upgrade from what I had before.

Pros
  • Antennas
Cons
  • No automatic
