A case with a back cover and a smart keyboard adds weight, but you need to be able to carry everything, so it's a trade-off. The product is light, but the suitcase is already broken. It appears that the material was flexible at first, but became brittle and failed at the corners of the Smart Cover. Now the corners are broken. Not sure why this happened. I have not resigned.

The case arrived quickly and in excellent condition. It was very easy to snap it into place. The only minor downside is what another reviewer mentioned: the camera cutout isn't deep enough to provide recessed protection for the camera surface. A thicker cover will work for this, but then the cover will be heavier.
