Great little ESC

I used this ESC to replace the noisy ESC on my F765. 433MHz radios are not affected by this regulation when under load, as the built-in regulator does. A heatsink is needed if you want to use more than half the rated power.

Pros
  • Great choice
Cons
  • Faulty

Not what I expected

I had a hard time soldering pins to the PCA board. The device generates spikes that disturb my circuit. Maybe I got a bad batch. I replaced this regulator with another and my system works as expected.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Updates

Don't use it on fpv or risk crash and destruction.

Ryan M is right. I read his review and thought maybe it was a random deal and I bought it anyway and now I regret it. This one burned down in mid-flight, worked several flights, then fell from the sky, looked out and caught fire and burned out. Converting all my ATVs to Matek ESCs.

Pros
  • Not only useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Not reliable

Great little buck converter

Need a separate 5v buck converter for my drone to power LEDs. I didn't want to risk blowing out the flight controller regulator for something that doesn't matter to actual flight. These things are tiny and when I tested them they could deliver 3A/5V with no overheating issues, which surprised me. The wide Vin makes her incredibly versatile. These are great little dollar converters.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • No power

DO NOT BUY, AVOID AVOID AVOID

Exploded on the second connection of 5S Lipo. The first flight was great, I landed, pocketed the new pack and a nice fireball was fired from this ESC and stack. The ESC failed in the short position, killing my flight controller as well as the DJI air device attached to it. Avoid these regulators at all costs. Don't wreck $200 electronics over a $2 regulator. Choose Pololu or another well-known BEC manufacturer.

Pros
  • Many positive emotions
Cons
  • Negative impression

Provides enough power output

I tried other manufacturers 5V regulators, they regulated 5V, but after charging there was not enough current to turn on the FPV camera. No, it works great. These iFlight 5V regulators can accept 2S battery as input and regulate 5V to power your AKK FPV camera well. The size is also small. I installed this so my RC car can now stream the FPV camera to my goggles. The only thing I would like is that the output pads are on the opposite side of the input for soldering.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Almost OK
